35 Years of the Wellspring

Celebrating 35 years

For more than 35 years, The Wellspring has been part of the Stockport community, supporting people who are experiencing homelessness. We are more than a support service. We are a dedicated team providing practical help, compassionate support and tailored guidance to help people rebuild their lives.

As we mark our 35th anniversary, we’re asking our community to stand with us by donating £3.50, £35 or £350 so that we can continue to build futures beyond homelessness.

By giving today, you’re not just marking 35 years of The Wellspring, you’re helping ensure we can be here for the next person who needs us.

Our History

The Wellspring has been a cornerstone of support in Stockport since 1991 and was inspired by the compassion and vision of Fr. Constance (Con) Botter. He founded The Wellspring Kitchen as a response to the growing concern among parishioners for the unemployed and vulnerable in Stockport.

And his legacy lives on at The Wellspring today as we strive to address not just the symptoms but the underlying causes of homelessness, ensuring that every individual has the tools and resources they need to build a brighter future.
