21 Apr 2005 - "The Wellspring" By Mr John Woolley
Since attending The Wellspring Art class on Tuesdays & Fridays my confidence has improved tremendously.
The tutors who teach us have lots of patience, i can only say that they are very well trained experts.
The skills that i have been tought are most benifical to my mental health, the low esteem i had about myself seems to be lifting.
I must thank the volunteers who work in the kitchen they are the nicest people i have ever met, allways smiling, laughing & joking with the members, this also gives me back my self confidence. The kind of work they do must be very tiring. I can only thank these wonderful people for giving us there precious time to help us.
If it was not for the Project Workers, some of the clients who use The Wellspring can be on the rowdy side, whilst they seem to be under the influence of drink, but they know where the line is drawn when the Project Workers are there. I know The Wellspring is only a small place but it caters not only the Art classes & meals , it also provides clean clothing & showers for the homeless as well as helping people to gain housing. Last but not least , there is a wonderful nurse who calls in 3 times a week to check on the members health and to give them advice, she also treats any wounds that they may have.
The Wellspring is only a small place, but the Wellspring would not be The Wellspring without the nice caring people who run it.
Above is a piece of art work that i have done in The Wellspring art group.
